Quarter 4



The activity was making a poster on Motivator. This was a fun activity that gave us a chance to make a cool poster. I liked Motivator because it is simple and easy to use. This is a cool website that I will probably use for many other projects.


The purpose of creating a picture on Motivator was to show us different ways you can create posters or picture. The main purpose of this was to show us a new way of creating posters. This is going to be a useful website to use in the future.


In this activity I learned how to change the orientation and the boarders. I also learned how to change the text colour and the background colour. Motivator also helped me learn how to create a new type of poster. The poster format on Motivator made me think about 9gag, because pictures on 9gag use the same format. For those of you who don't know what 9gag is it is a website where people post funny pictures.


I could have learned more if I made more posters on Motivator. I also could have experimented with different fount stys and colour. I could have learned more differently if we used another website similar to motivator. Overall I learned a lot of new useful things from Motivator that I will carry with me to high school.


This activity did not relate to my goals, but it did help me move towards becoming a better learner.

Quarter 2





The activity was learning how to calculate our GPA in on excel. This activity was very helpful because it gave me an easy way to see if I got HONORS. During this activity we were given our grades for the quarter and we had to calculate our GPA. GPA stands for our grade point average.



The purpose of this activity was to teach us how to use the different functions in Microsoft excel. The main purpose of this project was to teach us how to calculate our GPA using excel. This project put my mind at ease knowing my GPA before getting a HONORS letter.



In this activity I learned how to calculate my GPA by typing in the grade in for each subject then multiply that by the number of times a week you have to subject. Then you would add that all up using auto sum. Then you divide it by the number of courses to get your GPA.



I could have learned more if I researched more online about excel. I also could have experimented with the software at home. I could have learned differently if I used a different program similar to excel. Over all i think I learned a lot, and I will use this knowledge all throughout the year.



This activity did not relate to my goal.



Quarter 3





The activity was using Google docs. A Google docs is a function on Google that allows you to share documents with your friends. You and your friend can be working on the same document at the same time. In this activity we created a address book that we sent out to everyone in the class. We would later answer all our class mates’ survey.



The purpose of this activity was to teach us a new way of communicating online. This is a very helpful skill to know because if you cannot work with someone in person you will always have the option of using Google docs. I will use Google docs whenever I cannot work with my partner in person.



In this activity I learned how to create a document on Google docs. I also learned how to make a address book that I would later send to my class mates for them to answer. I learned how to respond to survey and even learned how to view images. I also learned that it is a easy way to communicate when working on the same document.



I could have learned more if researched more about Google docs online. I also could have explored it more at home. I could have learned differently if I watched a YouTube video on how to use Google docs.



This activity did not relate to my goals.

Quater 1




The activity was an online typing test. In this a activity we had to type the words in front of us as quickly and as accurately as possible to ensure the best score. The typing test text I selected was taken from A Journal of the Plague year by Daniel Defoe. I was challenging to type the word fat because I would constantly look down at the keyboard.



The purpose of this activity was to see how fast we could type. Would later compare that score with the one we would do in the following quarter. After the typing test my results came out to be 24 words per minute and 7 errors.



During this activity I learned that posture affected my score. I also realized that I could have gotten a much better score if my right hand was not broken. During the test I was typing with the caste on which was difficult, and I pretty sure I could have gotten a much better score.





I could have learned more if we did a different type of typing test. I also could have learned more if did not have a broken arm. The score I got earned me a 90% which I think is good for someone with a broken arm.

Quarter 4

WIRE SCULPTURE


The activity was the wire sculpture. In this activity we were required to create a wire sculpture of anything we wanted. I created a wire sculpture on a man dunking on a basketball hoop. This project was the funniest project so far. We got to bend metal with players and we also go to plaster our sculpture.



The purpose of this activity was to introduce the class a new type of art. We had never done a wire sculpture before so it was fun to try something new. This project required us to use one piece of wire throughout the whole structure.



During this activity I learned how to bend wire to my liking. I also learned how to shop a piece of wire into a basketball hoop. I also learned how to plaster. This was interesting because I had never done this before. I also learned how to make the hoop stand up straight without the support of an extra wire.



I could have learned more if I did a different type of wire sculpture. I also could have learned more if I researched about wire sculptures online. I also could have learned more if we had more the one project about wire sculptures.



This activity did not relate to my goal but is did help me to become a better artist.

Quarter 3



The activity was my painting on Maurice narvale. We searched online his painting and selected one we would paint ourselves. This activity required us to sketch it out on a canvas and then paint over it. This took a lot of time and skill. I did my painting on a owl with its baby. The painting really spoke to me, to me the painting is trying to tell me that the mom owl really cared for its baby.



The Purpose of this painting was to create a painting we could display in the art show. Many people wanted to buy our paints but I bluntly rejected the offers so I could give it to my mother. This project helped use to become better artists. The main purpose of this activity was to try a new style of painting.



During this activity I learned how mix different paints to get a ice looking blend. I also learned different ways to stroke the painting. I learned how to not paint with a solid color but rather with different shades of the colour. The most important thing I learned is to make my painting look interesting with different colours and shades.



I could have learned more if I looked at more painting of Maurice narvale. I also could have painted a home to improve my painting skills. I could have learned differently if we did a project on another artist. I could have learned more if I tried a different style of painting.

The activity was creating the bullying video on movie maker. This project was interesting all the way through. In our video we showed how a kid gets bullied and decides to commit suicide. We had to use different function on movie maker to make our video stand out. We used transition, coloured text, and slow-motion effects.



The purpose of this assignment was to explore movie make and raise bullying awareness. This project allowed me to explore all the different functions and features of movie maker. Exploring movie maker gave me a good understanding on how to us the software. Movie maker gave me a new perspective of movie editing. The main purpose of this project was to learn how to use movie maker.



I learned how to cut videos and add speed up the video. I also learned how to add slow motion effects and add music. Movie maker allows you to cut parts of the video you don't want to keep. I also learned how to edit parts out of the video that I did not like. The most important thing I learned was how to add captions.



I could have learned more if I went online and researched about how to use movie maker. I also could have watched a YouTube tutorial on how to use movie maker. I could have learned differently if we used a different type of program to edit the video. Over all the video turned out great and I like it just the way it is.



This activity did not relate to my goals directly, but it did help me towards becoming a better video maker for YouTube. After this project I made a bunch of video using my new skills and put them on YouTube
