Quarter 4

The activity was the Mini pond in this activity the the class got in our science groups and we went out side to grab dead thing off the ground that were once living. we then put it in a container and put water without. Then we sealed it and waited 3 days then we did the experiment Mini pond.

The purpose of the project was for the class to make a wet mount with a sample of the pond then look at it through a micro scope to see what we could find. I found life. There was tine germs and we got to see them move.

I learned there is still life in dead thing even though the thing are dead. There are microscopic organisms living in the dead plant.We can prove this using a microscope. There are many cells feeding on the algae and the live and reproduce in the mini pond.

I could have learned more if I made more wet mounts. I did experiment with allot but it would have been fun to experiment with more of them. Seeing is believing like you cant see cells with your eyes, you have to use microscopes.
